For most learners it will take approximately 40 hours of driving lessons, we must point out this is the average hours and in some cases it may require more
We would like to clarify our policy regarding booking a test and the use of instructors car.
We do not endorse or recommend any test cancellation apps, as they are not DVSA approved.
If you choose to use them, that decision – and any associated risk – is entirely your own.
We cannot be held responsible if issues arise as a result of using these services.
We would need to be in agreement that you are fully, test-ready.
We will encourage you to sit your theory test as early as possible, preferably before your lessons start.
Once you have passed your theory test we will advise you to book a practical driving test within the appropriate time for you to reach test standard.
If a test is booked without prior discussion or agreement, we cannot guarantee the availability of the car for your test.
You may, of course, choose to proceed using your own vehicle if you decide to keep the test date.
We both must be in agreement that you are test ready.
On the understanding if the instructor feels that you are not test ready they are under no obligation to take the instructors car.
This policy is in place to ensure, safety and appropriate preparation for your test.

From 31 March 2026 you and your pupils will only be able to change a car driving test up to 2 times (reduced from 6). This applies to all car driving tests booked by you or your pupils.
Swapping tests between 2 of your pupils will count towards this limit, so we’d encourage you to make sure your pupils only book their test when they’re ready to take it.
