Part 2

We usually arrange 10 hours of part 2 in car assessment/ training before you sit the part 2 test , however in some circumstances this may need to be more than 10 hours.

Part 3

Part 3 training depending on the route you intend to take

(a) A trainee license : a minimum of 40 hours training is required before you can apply for a trainee license

If you decide to go down the route of a “ trainee licence “ . As described above you must undertake a minimum of 40 hours of training , delivered by someone considered suitable by the DVSA . When you apply for a trainee licence to the DVSA you must have a sponsor ( a driving school , or an ADI ) you cannot teach independently until you qualify as an ADI . This is a discussion we can have if both parties felt this would practical and mutually agreeable.

(b) If you are not taking a trainee license there are no mandatory hours
required by the DVSA , however a minimum of 28 hours is recommended.

Validation : If you are on a trainee license the DVSA require a mandatory 20 hours of training / assessment , before you can book a part 3 test
